THE TALE (TAIL) OF TWO CATS

A little more than a week before we left to spend Christmas with our daughter and her family in Winnipeg, we adopted a kitten from the local shelter.  Because the shelter had named her Toni, we changed her name to Paige.

On Paige's first trip to the vet we learned that she had an internal infection.  We were given pills to give her twice a day.  We couldn't very well ask a neighbour to look after Paige and give her a pill twice a day while we were away, so we asked the shelter to look after her.  Feeling quite responsible, they had no problem with that.

Christmas morning, the shelter called to sadly inform us that the kitten had died.  We had become quite attached to this little cat.  She was no problem at all, was litter box trained and rarely meowed.

*******************************************************
We got back at 1:00 am Thursday and this morning we went to the shelter and adopted another cat.  This one is about 2 years old.  Her shelter name was Betty Page so we changed it to Zoe.  She is a doll.  Immediately she checked out the whole house.  She probably eats too much but after all this is her first day.  She too can use the litter box and knows "down".  She does have a fairly loud "meow" so we are hoping she will be happy to be closed in the living room overnight.

Meet Zoe!

Sorry Paige didn't make it. I'm glad to see Zoe helping to fill that hole in your hearts.

There are no guarantees about life when adopting any pet. Here is hoping you have a longer time with Zoe.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Zoe is such a cutie pie. Hope she does well at night. Looked mighty comfy in that picture of her on Doug's lap.
