Week 1 with Terri and Paul

At Betty's RV Park in Abbeville, Louisana, we made fast friends with Paul and Terri.  It was just two days but they said they would come meet us in Yuma.  And they did.

It seems like we have known each other for years.  We spend time together every day; sometimes doing things, other times watching tv and playing games.  One day I cook, the next Terri does.

We have already made plans to visit them in Ontario in August for Paul's 60th birthday.

Terri loves to shop at Hobby Lobby

I caught a cold and although I am nearly well, I have given it to the others.  Doug and Paul aren't too bad but poor Terri is suffering.

Last night we had dinner at the Quechan Casino just down the road and attended an Elvis Expo.  Dinner was excellent.

None of us are really Elvis fans but we thought it might be fun.  Fun was what it was.  It was actually an Elvis impersonator contest and none of them were very good.  We tried not to laugh but really.  Most were old guys that looked like they hung around in bars their whole lives.  If that wasn't funny enough...the women who went up for kisses, were ridiculous.  Really, do these old guys wake up one morning and say, "I know!  I am going to be an Elvis impersonator and travel the country!"?

Sneering lips, shakey hips and so many "Thank you, thank you very much" 's.

It's good to have friends to laugh with. Even if it's Elvis impersonators that make you laugh.

I don't think I could watch an Elvis show. Those guys are so gooffie.

Isn't it so nice to have such good friends to hang with for awhile. Sounds like y'all are having a ball.

It sounds like so much fun to go to a goofy Elvis event. As long as you had fun, that's what counts.
