Terri and Paul's little rig behind us |
Paul and Doug went on a very long hike to the canal that runs on the Arizona/Mexico border |
We have finally crossed Yuma Territorial Museum off our bucket list. We have been coming here for 8 years and this is our first visit. It's not that big and I must admit I did find some parts very interesting even though I do not like museums.
The meanest inmate of all |
We were not sorry to see these people leave our little area. Imagine that. Just because it is legal to double-tow in most states, doesn't mean you should.
Motorhome+SUV+trailer with 2 ATV's aboard |
Lyn and Ed whom we haven't seen in 4 years joined us at Pilot Knob. They were on their way to Quartzsite until they found out that there really wasn't any of the group there. The weather in Quartzsite is even worse than here in Yuma.
Our dear friends Irene and Bill will be leaving on Saturday so we said good bye to them last night.
And today, we are leaving. We are not due to arrive at our "gathering" until tomorrow but the wind here in Yuma has got to us. Unbelievable! Beautiful sunshine doesn't stand a chance. We cannot be outside because the dust is choking.
So we will push on to our last stop before heading north. We will be in charge of my father's care for the next two months before we head off to the park. This year we really are re-retiring come July. Our lives will be travel, travel, travel. Yippee!

We are having a hard time with the cold wind as well here in Quartzsite but with all the wet weather we've had over the last two months there has been little dust.
If you are near La Posa South tomorrow the 28th stop by to attend the Blogger-Fest. Would really like to meet other Canadian RV Bloggers.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
We really enjoyed Yuma Territorial Museum. Doug looks like he belongs in Prison. lol
You are right. It definitely is too cold around here too. Get used to it though if you're heading north.
Ok Doug why imprisonment? We thought you were a good guy!
Shame about the cold wind and dust!
Hopefully next year will be better...
So looking after your dad ...that is a good reason for heading north.
