Yuma is known for its wind. That reputation is very evident this past week. The wind makes very interesting patterns in the sand, just like at the beach.
This week we made our second trip to the Yuma Indoor Market, a huge swap meet in rows and rows of tents. Most of the stuff for sale is RV friendly. There are several produce vendors too.
This was all for $4.50.
Rigs come and rigs go from our little area. These two rigs came in the other day and I could not identify the licence plates from the distance so I went over and introduced myself.
These folks are all the way from Prince Edward Island. As usually does, a conversation broke out and lo and behold, I think we have found the other couple we need to work in our park this summer. Elaine and David had been planning on visiting BC this summer and asked if we knew of any "workcamping" opportunities. Ah ha. They will let us know for sure in the next little while, but from their enthusiasm, I think they're in.

You certainly don't know who you'll meet in the desert. Yuma can be very windy. I think we all know that.
It was windy passing through but here at the Hot Springs almost none.
That would be great if it works out for you. Windy here today but I saw where Montana is getting 75 mph winds tonight and tomorrow. Glad that's not us.

Give me my computer and eBooks and I can be content staying pretty much anywhere. Pilot Knob sure worked for me; glad it does for you, too.
