OVERTON - Getting Ready to Leave

We are leaving Overton and heading north to "home" on Monday morning first thing.  We have preparations to do.  Today we shopped for sandwich things and snacky things to have ready so we are less likely to eat fast food.  There isn't a lot of that on the way so better to be prepared.

Tomorrow we visit the local RV park to dump and fill the rig.  The cost of gas jumped up 20 cents a gallon overnight in Overton so we will top up our nearly full tank before we head out.  We wish to price would settle down until we are back.

Our friends Steve and Dianne arrived yesterday.  They got the site next to us.  They got all set up, we had Happy Hour and then dinner.

Dianne and Steve pose with their lovely rig.

Quiche, Caesar salad, Steve and Dianne

Steve and Dianne will be staying a few more days after we leave.  We leave them with our furry and feathery friends.

Cottontail and veggie scraps
The herons have recently returned.  It's so weird to see these huge birds in the trees.  They make their nests in the trees.

Ground squirrel with veggies.
Ready or not, here we go.  Next blog from Langley, BC.
