CASINO CAMPING

A couple of years ago Doug and I discovered casino camping.  Friends had told us how welcoming the casinos are to rv'ers.  The incentive packages vary.  Sometimes you are literally being paid to stay.  Offers of play money, buffets, and percentages of meals are the norm.  Casino camping is dry camping, no hookups, but we have learned to manage power, water and waste very well.

We are currently at the Cocopah Casino just on the outskirts of Yuma.

Cocopah's incentive package is $5.00 play money for each person, and 15% off all meals during your stay.  Unlike most casino camping, there is a fee here.  $10.00 for 3 nights.  We can handle that.  Apparently there is no limit.

How long ago do you think these people got here?  They have a "yard".  At $3.33 a night you could afford to stay the whole winter.  And 15% off meals.  The food is not bad either.

The end of the first row.  That's us in the background.  We will be watching to see if they leave.
We have paid for three nights.  We will pay for three more tomorrow.

The sunsets are gorgeous.

From here we will move on to our favourite casino camping so far -  Casino de Sol in Tucson. Their incentive package is great.  $10.00 play money each for two consecutive days, their buffet which was amazing at 50% off and there is no charge.  A picture of Casino de Sol is the banner on this page.

Don't know a thing about the casino in Tucson. Sounds like we may need to check it out though. We really liked Cocopah. Mainly because it was clean!

Why would someone what to live at a casino? I don't get that and how often do they have to close every thing up and go to dump and take in water.

Thanks for the heads up on the casino in Tuscon. We may use it this winter.

I'm thinking we may try out your casino in Tucson also in January before we head to Blythe and Q.
