WHY WE DON'T EAT OUT A LOT - by Doug Laird

Most people in this new life of ours, full-time RV'ers, eat out a lot.  Casino buffets, fancy restaurants, the works.  We don't eat out a lot and especially not when we are stationary for any length of time.  Do you know why?  This is why.  This is the Sunday dinner my wonderful wife made tonight.  Yummy. I had better walk for 2 hours in the desert tomorrow.
Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, peas and gravy.
Double chocolate cake with cookies and cream ice cream.

I've actually been cooking since we got back to Apache Junction. Fixed pork chops for dinner tonight with spinach and apple sauce with a big salad.

Actually I think RV'ers eat out to socialize with friends or try a new restaurant they've seen. Other than that, it's eating in just like before we were RV'ers.

I'm proud of both of you. Cooking is so rewarding. Look what husbands say about you.

If I lived with Toni I'd eat in, too. Nobody cooks like that at our house!
