OUR DOG PARKER - A Real Character - A Pampered Pooch and Our Pal

This is all about our dog Parker.  Parker was one of seven puppies born on our farm in September of 2000.  One of seven but we thought there were only six puppies.  Parker was discovered behind the box about three days after they were born.  He was the only white one and he had one ear up and one ear down.

Parker was special from the beginning.  Parker was about ten months old in this picture.  He would give himself a bath in the garbage can we kept water in to water the greenhouse.  He would climb up on the can, all four feet on the edges, lower his bum in the water and swish back and forth like a washing machine.

Parker was always an outside dog.  He guarded the house from the backyard.  If someone came to the front door, he would hit the fence running and scare the bejeezus out of the person.  He learned to recognize the sound of all the family cars.

Parker is Doug's dog.  He is very loyal and they are best buddies.  Doug walked Parker two or three times a week when we lived in Langley.  Now that we are on the road, Doug walks him everyday, at least once.  In Casa Grande, they walk in the desert for miles.  Parker loves to chase rabbits.  He has never caught one but that does not deter him one bit.
Parker is our pal.  He makes us laugh.  He keeps us entertained.  Sometimes we have to make concessions for him but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Loved it! Terry always says he's never met a dog he hasn't liked. However, he can't say the same about people!

Almost makes me want a dog. Almost. I sure wish the one that bit me never did it. I hate having this fear come on randomly which makes me now reluctant to be around any dogs. The poor dogs aren't to blame! Just that one. But fears are not rational which is unfortunate for me and all my dog loving friends. I'm glad Parker has such a loving family.
