Friday afternoon we pulled into Hidden Lake RV park in Beaumont, Texas and our friends Janice and Jerry were waiting for us. They even had the site next to them saved for us. It was so nice to see them.
Janice and Jerry are Southerners and make speak differently to us but boy, do we speak the same language. We could talk all night.
Last night we went out to dinner with them and tonight we had them to dinner. I cooked and baked all day and had a ball doing so.
We had green salad, potato salad, mushrooms, steak, and salmon. For dessert we had chocolate peanut butter pie. More importantly we had fun.
There's just one piece of pie left, but probably not for long.
Today I have also started the Christmas Cake. As you can see it's going to be yummy. It has to soak in rum overnight and tomorrow I will bake it. Hopefully it will have a chance to age, and some may make it until Christmas.

I want the chocolate peanut butter pie. It sounds like a Reese.
I don't like Reese; I'll take the cake. :)
The Christmas cake is finished and it going to be wonderful. Now the waiting to mature.
