We're Back - Salmon Arm, Nakusp, Creston

Oh, how I hate these catch up ones.  Heavens, to remember what's been going on.  Sometimes I forget where we were when, especially when we are making little jumps across the country.

Okay so the family reunion was over and we moved the rig to where Niki, Mike, Nico, Jakob, Gayle and Vahan had rented a cabin.  We had been told that we were welcome to park the rig there.  There was never any mention of a fee.  Well.....when we found out it was going to be $28.00 a night to hang off a cliff up the worst road we have EVER been on, we were out of there.  Subsequent to this, when Niki paid the owner, he demanded $10.00 a day for Parker.  Can you believe it?

During the third day there, the owner was running a bobcat up and down the driveway and the smell of diesel nearly killed us.

We did have some fun though.  There were nearly daily visits from a bear.  We ate most meals together and Graeme enjoyed being with his siblings.  Gayle's significant other, Vahan, helped solved the problem of the wiring in Graeme's car.  Alas, now he has blinkers, a radio, flashers and dash lights.

We all took turns wearing Doug's cowboy hat.  Some of us are naturals, others not so much.

It was fun anyhow.

I keep forgetting to post things.  Early one morning at the family reunion Doug went for a swim.  Those of you who know about the relationship that Doug has with Parker would not be surprised to know that Parker followed Doug out to the float.  I got this fantastic photo.  I love it.  I am going to have it enlarged.

And this is just another pretty picture I took of a jalopy at the cabin.

Okay, that's all I can do today.  More catching up tomorrow.  Good night.
