So after the family reunion (s) we spent one night in the parking lot of Doug's brother Bill's mall in Salmon Arm. For those of you who have never heard me speak of this before, keep it in mind. Bill encourages RV'ers to park in the parking lot of Picadilly Mall. He has a dump station and all. Brand new big grocery store and department store make it very useful. Park around the edges and stay as long as you want, for FREE. Tuesday and Fridays are Farmer's Market days in the parking lot so it gets a bit crowded.
After the parking lot we were off to McDonald Creek Provincial Park in Nakusp to meet up with our friends Dave and Lynn who are from Vancouver Island but we met at Rover's Roost in Casa Grande, AZ. They are park hosting there until September 15th.

After spending three days at Nakusp, we traveled over the Kootenay Pass. This was a grueling ride. The pass is 5900 feet up. No snow, some rain but we took it really easy. It really tired Doug out though.
Orginally we were going to try to make Cranbrook but we settled on Creston. We were going to stay just one night but we needed another day to recover. (Now I am catching a cold, damn!)

Our spot at Pair-A-Dice RV park in Creston. Hate the name but the RV park is very nice. All amenities for $30.00 a night.
So off we go in the morning. Where we stop nobody knows.

Love your pictures. Sounds like you're having a lot of fun on the road. Isn't it great to meet up with folks you've met somewhere else?
The SKPs have a Pair-A-Dice RV park, too. Theirs is near Las Vegas. Are you parked by a casino?
Looks like a cool and refreshing place to be. Have fun.
