I AM LEARNING TO BE PATIENT - or I'm trying

Doug told me I should make this post.

In the past, patience was not one of my stronger suits.  I want this done yesterday.  I usually had a retort for a snide remark.  My mother always said "It's not important to always get in the last word, dear."

Today is a fine example.  I came out of the bathroom to find Doug's winter coat on the bed.  He was downstairs getting ready to take the dog on his morning jaunt.  Quite pleasantly I said "Doug, are you going to wear this coat" and he answered, quite snidely to my ears "That's why it's on the bed!"

I let it go!  Off he went on his walk.  When he came back, this pleasant little note was on his plate next to his blueberry pancakes.

Ten reasons why your winter coat was on the bed:
  1. to wash it
  2. you were looking for something in the closet
  3. you were looking for something in the pockets
  4. you forgot to put it back
  5. you were going to move it somewhere else
  6. you wanted me to sew it
  7. you were going to give it away
  8. you were seeing if it still fit
  9. the martians put it there
  10. you were going to wear it - after all it is August 19
I was lucky - HE THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!  He is still going to build me racks in my pantry.

I feel I have to put some pictures on this blog, so here are a few random ones.  (God I hate that word!!)

Jim and I just cracked up over this post. You are good. Poor Doug doesn't stand a chance.

We all have our mountains to cross. And, I'm certainly not going to get in between you and Doug!
