MOOSE JAW, SASKATCHEWAN to BRANDON, MANITOBA

Despite his nasty cold, Doug got us from Moose Jaw to Brandon, Manitoba.  We are now an easy drive to Winnipeg and daughter Charlette, her husband Glenn and boys, James and William.

When we woke up in Moose Jaw, we were amazed to see that the smoke from all the forest fires in British Columbia, had drifted all the way to Saskatchewan.  The sky was hazy and the smell was definite.

Quite a few of my American friends have chuckled over the name Moose Jaw.  Well here is the moose from Moose Jaw.  You will notice that he is anatomically correct.

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is also the home of the Canadian Snowbirds flying team.  This is of course, a mounted Snow Bird at the information center.

So we pushed on and now we are in quite a nice park in Brandon, Manitoba - Meadowlark RV park.  We got here at the right time.  Shortly after we arrived, nearly every site was taken.  We will be here two days and then on to Winnipeg.

Not too impressed with my blog tonight.  Very tired!!!

Tell Doug to get better. At least with a cold he may not have been able to smell the smoke.

Sorry Doug is not feeling good. Just hope he doesn't pass it back to you. Love the moose.
