LAST DAYS

We are enjoying our last RV park.  We are at Cedar Creek RV park just south of Seaside.  It's not pretty but it is very adequate and the young woman who seems to be running the park is very friendly.

Seaside is just down the road and Warrenton just a little further.  Just south is Cannon Beach.  We went to Cannon Beach and walked on the beach.  We used to go there every year, tent-camping.  We took pictures of the Hallmark Resort as David and his family will be spending time there in July.  We bought a Haystock bread and a pound of fresh shrimp.  It made a wonderful sandwich.

We shopped in Warrenton for all the American grocery products we have learned to love so we can take them back with us.  We went to the movies in Seaside.  Seaside is very busy.

Today I cleaned.  I cleared the fridge of produce because we cannot take it across the border.  I made the vegetables into spaghetti sauce and Doug made apple sauce.  It's always frustrating because we clear them out and the border guards rarely ask if we have any.

Tomorrow we will have a longer drive than we usually do to Tulalip Casino in Marysville.  They have free rv parking in the back.  Easy to get in and out of.  We will have their buffet and in the morning, leave early and make for the border.

We haven't been on our turf for 9 months.  We are looking forward to seeing family.

Doug doesn't want to be in the city for long so he will set me up in our usual RV park, stay a little while and then rent a car and go up to Merritt to stay with his brother and sister-in-law.  He will come back and we will go to Merritt together for a month or so.

Plans are in chalk at the moment.

Winter has pretty much come and gone. Everyone seems to be on their way to new destinations or if they aren't on their way, they are in the planning mode. Love the Cannon Beach photos.

You had a good long visit south this year. You may need to stock up on chalk now. :)

Very pretty photos. We loved our time in Oregon. Lots of beauty there. Safe travels. Hope it is uneventful.

Love your photos. Oregon coast is one of our favourite spots. It's been a couple of years since we've been there. Looking forward to seeing you while you're in the lowermainland. Hope to see Doug as well.
