BAKERSFIELD

In the past, we have only used Bakerfield as a stopover.  Usually we stayed overnight in one of the Walmarts here.  We stopped for a couple of nights at Orange Grove a couple of times, but never went anywhere.

We have a car now!  That little car is such a convenience.  We can go anywhere and we have.  A little GPS and we have been all over.

We did not realize the population of Bakerfield is almost 350,000.   There are 4 Walmarts and 4 Walmart Neighborhood stores.  There are numerous high-end shopping centers as well.

We have been shopping several times.  We discovered that there is a Camping World and we found two things we have been looking everywhere for.  We found an "Extend a Stay" adapter so that we can move propane from a 30 lb. tank to the motorhome tank.  Never have to worry about running out of propane.  And we found a cat tent.

Zoe checks out her new tent and new bed.  It's too windy to play outside right now but we will soon.

We saw the movie "3 Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri".  The movie was fantastic.  Super intense but the acting was amazing.

We went to the zoo.  The California Living Museum is not that large but clean and well laid out.  The weather was perfect.

To golden eagles

To beautiful mountain lions

In the end we will have been in Bakersfield, California for 9 days.

This park is obviously on everyone's route.  Every night it is full and 90% of them leave in the morning.

Zoe loves to sit at the window and watch the birds in the orange tree outside.
