FRIENDS

For full-time RVers on the road for 9 years now, the camaraderie that we have with other full-timers is tight.  We speak the same language.  There are actually rving words and phrases that only Rvers use like Rvers.  Shunpiking, boondocking, overnighting and toad are a few others.  When we get together we talk about where we have been and where we are going.  In our close knit group, it seems most of us are doing a lot less traveling and a lot more sitting still.

We had our friends Jim and Sandie who hale from Montana over for lunch on Saturday.  They brought their two dachshunds Skittles and Rocky with them.  While we chit chatted, Rocky fell down our entrance stairs and hurt his foot.  With lots of cuddles he quickly felt better.

Sunday Doug and I were invited to Chuck and Linda's for a BBQ.  Chuck and Linda are from Penticton, BC.  Some other Canadian friends, Ed and Julie and Julie's sister dropped in too.  They are off to Mexico for Christmas.

Yesterday we drove up to Chandler, about 25 miles, to have lunch at Benhaha's with our original eight that first got together in 2009. We hadn't been to Benihaha's before but we will definitely be going again.  The meal is cooked at a huge grill built into the table by a Japanese Chef.  Of course the food is hot and fresh cooked for each person.  The Chef was very entertaining too.  A fun time for all of us and I think we will make this a tradition.

Today was to be an exciting day.  We have decided that after 3 years "pet-less" we are going to get a kitten.  Yesterday we bought all the paraphanalia
for a very spoiled kitty.  This morning we rushed off to the shelter where Doug volunteers but alas they were closed.  We did get to visit the cats.  We had picked one out from the pictures on-line but changed our mind.  We will pick up our new kitten tomorrow.

It definitely is fun to get together and chat about our RV life. We loved Benihana's and are betting we will be returning fairly soon to show it off to Terry's mom.

I can’t tell you how jealous I was when I saw that picture of y’all at the restaurant. It was a wonderful picture but two more people would’ve looked really good in that picture. Can’t wait to we have our next reunion.

Oh my gosh. How you are going to love having a kitten around. They are so much dang fine. That little one will make you laugh constantly. I need to see pictures and pictures and pictures.
