The bottom shelf was a hollow space with wires for the slide. They are still there just compacted.
Until this point, we have been using an HDML cord from my laptop to the tv for watching Netflix on the big screen. Works just fine.
Yesterday, we decided to get a "smart" tv so we didn't have to do that. First, it didn't fit on the Uppy Downy thingie and then, after spending more than an hour on the help desk, we discovered that it was just too smart. It would only connect to the WiFi in the park if we were less than 25 feet away and had access to the passwords on it. We took the television back. We considered a satellite but they are too much trouble. We are fine with the HDML set-up.
We are both looking forward to our trip to Neepawa for Christmas with our daughter, Charlette and her family. Snow for sure. We can stand it in small doses and it is pretty. Packing warm clothes is a bit of any issue, but we will manage.
As we get closer to Christmas, more plans are coming into place. We have the electric light parade on Saturday, a dance at our clubhouse afterward and a cocktail party on Sunday already.

That railing is lovely! Doug does such good work. Sorry the TV didn't work. We use a cable to Dave's laptop when a disc has a minor blemish that our DVD player won't accept.
Can hardly wait to see your home. It looks so comfy.
It is fun to figure what you can do to make your home really your home. Nice touches. I know what you mean about not writing stuff that isn't note worthy. I have the same problem and certainly don't want to write a diary. Love the short newsy blogs.
Our "uppy downy" thing is called a televator :)
Smart TVs are not always smart.
"Televator" cute.
