CANADIAN THANKSGIVING

Although we are in the United States, we are Canadian.  For the past 4 years, we have celebrated CanadianThanksgiving in Bagley, Minnesota.  We invite son David's family.  Unfortunately, this year his father Milo was not well and could not attend.

We had David's aunt Alvina, who at 94 years old, is a charmer.  Although her sight and hearing are going, she is totally on the ball.  The other guests were Nickolas and his girlfriend Emily, Lizzy who drove over from Fargo, David's sister, Tamara and her husband Mark, David and Stefani, Doug and I.

Other than the mashed potatoes, I cooked the meal in our motorhome.  Organization is the trick.  We have an electric roasting pan for the turkey.  This year we cooked a turkey as well as a turkey breast.  All the vegetables were prepared in the morning.  The dessert, pumpkin cheesecake squares, was prepared the day before.  The trickiest part is serving it all hot.

We plan to be back on the road Wednesday morning.  We have an appointment at a tire place on Tuesday afternoon.  Doug noticed some wear on one of the front tires of the motorhome.  We may need a new tire (or two) or just an alignment.  We will see.
