This morning we bid adieu to Betty's RV and Abbeville, Louisiana. We have had a wonderful time. We have made some new friends and have some interesting experiences. We will miss Abbeville and we will miss Miss Betty!
These passed few days have been busy ones. We had a pot luck for Thanksgiving. There was lots of food. Many of the offerings were Southern things that Doug and I had never tried. We tried most of them.
We all gathered inside the clubhouse for dinner.
We had the pleasure of meeting Betty's 99 year old Aunt Lillian and her eldest son, Brett.
Yesterday Doug explored Palmetto State Park while I stayed home to prepare for our last pot luck. He shared the pictures he took.
This last picture is quite funny especially considering the subjects. Vultures tearing apart something in the road. But look closely at the sign in the background. How apt!
GOODBYE BETTY! We will be back. You can count on it.

I'm so glad you were able to experience Betty's. Words can not express the experience.
Glad you had a wonderful time. Now escape Louisiana before more storms come in.
I'm glad you found a new home in the south. Sorry you need to head north now. I hope weather cooperates for your long drive.
Glad y'all had a good visit. We are going to try again next year to spend some time there on our way to Houston. Safe travels.
Betty's is a wonderful place we have great memories of there as well.
Glad we had some good times with you all at Betty's. R U going to Quartzsite this year. If so, let's hook up somewhere for some tacos.
See ya,
Dennis & Carol
