THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

Today was the day to take one item off our bucket list.  We visited the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.  It wasn't hard to find as it seems all the important entertainment venues are in the same block.

Bridgestone Arena - home of the Nashville Predators.
If there had been a game today we might have taken it in too
All in all, we have both decided that it was good but not great.  We would have been happier if the ticket price was $15.00 but at $24.95, not so much.

A few interesting pictures.

A huge wall of gold and platinum records.  There were several walls like this.
Elvis's gold Cadillac.  Paint was made with ground diamonds and fish scales??

The dress Carrie Underwood was wearing when she won American Idol.
16 years old - holy cow.  Notice Blake Shelton on the tv behind.

Elvis' solid gold piano
One of numerous full wall posters of Cash and Dylan.

We have never visited the museum. Thanks for the tour. If you two weren't crazy about it, we may just pass it by.

Yes, thanks for taking us in with you. Not being a big country music fan, I would not have paid to go in. I do like both Dylan and Cash, though.

Being HUGE country fans, we would probably pay the price. Afterall, we met country dancing almost 28 years ago. Bet we've seen lots of those stars in person, including the late Johnny Cash.
