BACK ON THE WET COAST

Saturday morning, bright and early, we pulled out of the park.  Five and half months, and although things were better this year, we are still exhausted.

This time we decided to take the longer route to the coast, through the Fraser Canyon.  This is the original route south to the Vancouver area.  A longer route but a much more scenic route.

Had to stop for this train.  Beautiful mountainside in the background.

Traveling along at a slower pace and stopping for photos whenever we felt like it.

Waterfall that comes out of the mountain at Spencer's Bridge.

You follow along the Fraser River.  This route was the original route for gold seekers looking to make their fortune.

The train runs on the other side of the river.  Doug and I think the trees on the mountainside look like the little plastic trees you get with a train side.

Another reason for our change of view is a visit to one of our favourite stops.  In the little town of Boston Bar is a restaurant called Old Town Inn.  We have visited several times.

The soup that is advertised as "homemade" is actually from scratch.  And it is yummy.

Beautiful scenery. I can see why you would want to take that drive.

It's nice to have a choice of routes to take. Great that you're also finally on the road again.

This route is gorgeous. We enjoy the slow pace also but don't do it often enough.

The soup looks delicious!

We were hoping to travel that rout this fall, but was not meant to be I guess.
