WE WERE GOING TO MOVE but we are having too much fun doing nothing.

I think I like sunrises better than sunsets.

After Quartzsite we returned to "our spot" at the Pilot Knob - 2 week area.  Our new friends Bill and Irene arrived a few hours later.  Then some people we just happened to meet at the free dump station in Yuma pulled in behind them.  We had also met Gene and Sandra, from Fernie, BC last year.

Jim and Sandie pulled in behind us and spend most of their time going back and forth to Algodonese, this time for glasses.  They are just the best neighbours.  We do our thing (currently nothing is our thing) and they do theirs and we touch base from time to time.

They left Thursday and we have again amended our plans and will not leave until next Thursday for three nights in Ajo, Arizona.  We want to check it out for next year.

Other than "nothing" we have been to town a couple of times and yesterday we visited with our friends Karen and Bob and the members of Escapees Chapter 33.  They are parked in a group at Ogilby Road, not far from here. We are members of that chapter but we prefer Pilot Knob.

See the sky behind us.

We had a happy hour and fire with them.  Huge, dark clouds were moving in on us and we headed for home.  Nothing came of it.

Ghostly picture by leaving the headlights on.

You guys really are my kind of neighbors. And I really like your spot at Pilot Knob also. Just so peaceful and the best sunrises.

You may want to check out Gunsight Wash between Ajo and Organ Pipe National Monument for boon docking.

We could never boondock as long as you two do. Glad you are having a great time with new and old friends.

Sounds like a great time, Pilot Knob is one of our favourite areas as well, and usually at least a months boon docking every year, really missing that now.

You could sell those dark night shots to someone who write horror books looking for cover art. :)
