THIS AND THAT AT TUCSON

We are boondocking at Snyder Hill on Ajo Highway, in southern Tucson.  Other rigs come and go but there is usually about 6 or 10 of us.

The ridge behind us is Snyder Hill.  It was once a quarry.  Most of our windows face that way s.o we have quite a bit of privacy
Parking in the desert allows Doug to use his power tools and he is always making improvements.  Last week we tore out the carpet and replace it with an area rug.  I love it.

Today we bought a small two piece shelving unit to place under the living room window.  A place for storage and a side table for Doug.

A small lamp to complete, perhaps.
Our last (hopefully) purchase will be a new recliner.  We are waiting for the Black Friday sales.  That will be a first for us, Black Friday is supposed to be crazy.  We know what we want, we know where it is and we will be in and out.

Our Escapee friends Tina and Jeff are in a park just up the road from us for a month.  Last night we got together (hopefully the first of many times) and went out to dinner to our favourite rib place, Tiny's.  The ribs weren't up to par but the company was great.  Tina and Jeff came back to the rig after dinner for apple pie and ice cream.

Today we had a few errands to run.  It is very difficult to
find water in Tucson.  There are lots of water kiosks but none have hose attachments.  We have a 45 gallon water bladder to fill.  Finally we just drove into an RV park and asked the manager if we could pay her $5.00 to fill up at an empty site.  She said - no problem, no fee, help yourself.  Nice!

That's a good thing to know about the water. At least you found a place now where you can get it.

There's special adapter we have that slips on the faucet with no threads.

It's an Arizona Law that you have to give water to someone who asks.

I like the new area rug.

The last time I asked a park about dump and fill they told me $15 when on the phone but didn't charge me anything when I actually went there. I like nice people.

Glad you found some water. That is always a good thing. Amazing how good company can make up for mediocre food.
