YUMA FIRSTS

This year we are spending quite a while in Yuma, Arizona so that we have time to do some things we haven’t done in the past.

I blogged last week about going to the Peanut Patch.  That was the first thing.

Yesterday we visited friends Kay and Danny at the park they stay in most of their winter.

Kay and Dan

Kay and Dan showed us how rvers who spend most of their time plugged in, live.  They live at The Palms in Yuma.  There are 450+ sites, beautiful palm trees and every amenity you can think of.  There are two huge swimming pools, at least one hot tub, a library, bikes to rent, a chapel, and a large staff to make sure you are happy.

There is a 700 seat ballroom with entertainment most of the time.

Last night we were treated to “The Squawk”, an act from Las Vegas.  Lots of parrots talking and doing tricks.  The parrots were fun and entertaining.  The handlers, they were bored and boring.

For me though, the most important first was…..I hauled the rig.  We dumped and filled the rig in the morning and the opportunity presented itself and I took it.  It’s quite important that I get comfortable doing this because one day I may have to.

I knew you could do it. Doesn't it feel good to know you can do it?
