This afternoon I organized the Amazing Race in the park. There were 10 teams and 8 checkpoints around the park. Clues lead the racers from one checkpoint to the next and tasks were to be done at each. Today was B.C. Day and the tasks all involved British Columbia or Canada.
The teams consisted of one adult, one early teen and as many little kids as they wanted. AND off they went.
About 45 minutes, a buckets of sweat later, our winners arrived.
First prize, a $20.00 gift card to McDonalds.
Second prize, a $10.00 gift card to McDonalds. This little guy is just 4 years old and ran the whole race. I manned the recycling task and he did that one all by himself. Way to go Calum!
Third prize, a $10.00 gift card was won by a friend, Deb, her daughter and her friend.
The participants were exhausted but told me how much fun they had. Campers cheered them on from the campsites.
Such good family fun.

You two come up with the best ideas. Glad it was such a success.
What great imaginations you have to come up with the idea let alone the check point activities. No wonder that park is glad to have you back each year.
Sounds like a lot of fun as long as you were organizing and watching it. The buckets of sweat certainly wouldn't be fun though. Looks like everyone enjoyed the day you had planned for them!
sounds like this will be an annual event!kudos to you for organizing all the fun!!
wish I was half as creative!
