PICTURES - This and that

When there is not much to blog about, blogging about this and that is expected, right?  Better to say something.

This is the height of the flower season, I guess you could call it.  The fields are green and blooming, the gardens are amazing as nature puts on its best face.

At Quilchena Ranch they let the mustard grow wild

A new purchase - a pair of huge Percherons

The local sailing club had a regatta on Nicola this weekend.

View from our park

This beauty grows wild in our park.  The proper name is Calypso Balbosa.  There are quite a few varieties of wild orchid in British Columbia.

Calypso Balbosa.
These are from Doug's brother and sister-in-law's garden.  The lily's scent is intoxicating.

Sunflowers are so cheerful.

On Saturday I did a scavenger hunt with the young campers in the park.  We think this picture is hilarious.  So telling.

"Hmmm", he says "Give me a few more years!"

I certainly understand a "This and that" blog. Looks like teenagers in their normal attire but it's summer.
