Here in the Pacific Northwest spring makes itself known every couple of days. If you are lucky the spring days happen on the days when you have plans. The rest of them - well just sit inside and wait. Soon they will all be spring days.

Saturday was a beautiful spring day and.....

we had plans. Granddaughter Nico who is now 14 years old had a dance recital at Surrey Arts Centre. Her first formal competition. I believe the category she dances in is impressionistic ballet. All very modern and done to modern music. Awards are just for first and second and although we all thought she danced beautifully, apparently the judges did not and she was not awarded. Fantastic job Nico.
No photographs are allowed in the theatre so we took some afterwards. Even then we were told that we couldn't have any of the art work on the walls in the picture. Not easily done.

After such a great start to the day, the rest of the day was rainy and gloomy. Come on SPRING!

I would love to have glimpses of spring also. We sort of skipped spring and went straight to summer heat. Hopefully this week will cool down for us and warm up for you. That's really strange to write.
But it's great you're having time with family. That's priceless.
I can certainly agree that nothing beats spring in the north. We are getting pretty anxious to head that way ourselves. If our Jeep would just get fixed, we'd be on our way!
Lovely flower pictures. Are those in Canada now or did you save those from last year? :)
I saw my first cactus in bloom today! Any my second and third and... I guess I see more when I actually go outside. :)
