SKIDAWAY STATE PARK - Miscellaneous Photos

It's difficult to post a blog everyday when you are sitting still but I have a bunch of fantastic photographs to share.  So, no story, just pictures.  Most of them are from a nature walk around the park.

This deer just stood there and let me take his picture.

This little guy is Neptune.  He is a one year old orphaned alligator that now lives in the interpretive center at Skidaway State Park.  The naturalist let us stroke him.  He was warm and felt like wood.

This is called Beauty Berries.  Pretty, eh?

This is a perfect example of Spanish Moss.

The park is full of squirrels.  They are quite tame.  We put chex on this stump every morning.  They seem to like the salt on them more than the chex.

A cardinal.  The males are brighter than the females.  Well at least in the bird world.

Our favourite photo of this group.  Doug and I both have this as the background on our computers.  You can steal it too if you want.

I took you at your word and stole your picture. That really is gorgeous. Rain, tornado warnings, severe weather for us tonight. Hope yours is okay.

I like it too. I like the red Cardinal also.
