NICOLSTON DAM RV PARK - Alliston, Ontario - The Best Park Yet!!

I am hoping that I will be able to say "the best park yet!" many times but to date this one wins the title.

Nicolston Dam park is family owned and has been for five generations.  The place is now run by Charmon and Frank who are wonderful and friendly and there for all your needs.  I talked to her today and guess what?  In five years, they are going to become full-timers too.

Anyhow, the park.  First a few pictures.

So you can see from these pictures, this is a beautiful park.  The sites are enormous.  The town is just down the road.  The Walmart is 5 minutes away.  There are great restaurants.  Toronto is an hour and a half away by rapid transit.

For those of you who know me well, know that my thing is laundry.  They call me the Queen of Laundry.  So laundry facilities at RV parks are extremely important to me.  Well, this place!  Although there is only one washer and one dryer, they are domestic.  You get a key to the laundry and it is yours.  At this time of the year, you can keep the key a day, two days, whatever.  They supply the detergent and the bounces.  It costs $1.00 for a wash and $2.00 for a dry.  Of course, being a household dryer, you can set the time for as long as you need.  No filling the dryer with quarter, after quarter.

This is a Passport America park and although the website says not applicable for weekends, they let us.  For one week $158.00 which included the 12% tax Ontario levies.  We originally planned on staying a week but we have changed it to 10 days.

We are from British Columbia of course and we have always been told that Ontarians aren't particularly friendly.  Oh they are in this park.  We are having the neighbours for dinner tonight.

I'm glad you are finding good places. Of course, being so friendly yourself undoubtedly helps that. Plus, you feed the neighbors!

Queen of the Laundry, huh? Does that mean in Yuma you'll not only cook for all of us but do our laundry too?? You really are a gem!
