Good bye Nicolston - We will be back though

Tomorrow we leave Nicolston RV Park at Alliston, Ontario.  I wanted to share a bit more about this place before I put it behind us.

The park is operated by the fifth generation of the Nicol family, Charmon and Frank.  The office is the original mill built in 1878.  The mill was first a sawmill and then a grist mill.  The park has grown over the years.  There are 90 sites now.  One would be hard pressed to choose their favourite site.  Many of them are along the Nottawasaga River.  The sites are well treed and pretty spacious.

As you can see after Labour Day the park is quite empty.  A strange thing though.  A German travel agent sets up RV holidays for their clients.  One of the stops is Nicolston Park.  Daily, C class motorhomes arrive for a day.  All the RVs are from Fraser Way RV whose main office was minutes from our former home.

Bye bye Nicolston.  We will be back
