Tomorrow
morning we leave Canada for the US of A for 183 days. Winnipeg to
Bagley, Minnesota is just a 4 hour drive. We have a stop to make to
Americanize our electronics. WiFi and cell phone will be changed and
probably updated. We look forward to this time because without a
doubt the American versions are much better and much much cheaper.
We
have had amazing weather since we started out 17 days ago. We have
had no rain to speak of, a few drops overnight a couple of times.
The fall colours are beautiful and change so quickly.
Doug
took our grandsons, James and William, to paint ball. Needless to
say, I passed on that one. They had a great time and didn't get too
dirty or hurt.
As
we cross the border, we have to brush up on our American. Yes, there
are a lot of words that Canadians use
that Americans do not. We drink pop, not soda and with that pop we
may have chips. We have weiners in buns
before they are called hot dogs. We sit on our chesterfields, not
sofas. Often we have supper, not dinner. We don't wear tennis shoes
because we don't play tennis. We don't wear sneakers either because
we don't sneak. We wear runners and some of us run.
We
will try to cherish every minute of every day for the 6 months we are
allowed to be in the USA. We have some plans although we might not
stick to them. We will go south, then west, a little north and then
west again. We will meet up with friends here and there. We will
experience our first Escapees Escapade in Tucson in March.
So
goodbye Canada, hello USA.

The USA, Canada, and England are three countries separated by a common language. :) What's in your boot?
I have been guilty of not catching numerous errors on my blog. I think you might want to check yours again.
I don't wear tennis shows either but it's because I don't like them. Why would I want shoes I have to tie? I did that in kindergarten. There are other shoes out there I think are more attractive and just as comfortable.
