THE LAST FEW DAYS

We are now into our last few days.  I work Tuesday and Wednesday and Doug works until Friday.  But the park is quite empty so it will be easy (famous last words?).

Thursday was Gord and Donna's granddaughter (also Josh's daughter) Hailey's 16th birthday.  I baked a cake and we shared with the family.

Happy Birthday Hailey

Our friends Frank and Joan came over from Summerland on Thursday for an afternoon visit.  Doug has known Frank since Grade one and we haven't seen them in a while.  We talked all afternoon and took them both on a tour of the park.

Jason, Michelle and Sophie came camping on Friday and we sure enjoyed their company. Sophie is a charmer and is learning to be quite the little Scrabble player.  She played with me and with Doug.  Smart girl.

It was quite chilly Friday night.  Sophie and Mom cuddle to stay warm.
Sunday the weather was very iffy but we managed to hold another Amazing Race in the park.

What a fun time!  We had a huge Indo-Canadian group in the park.  They entered four teams of 6 or 8 members.  Although their teams didn't win, it was wonderful to see them participate.  Most of the tasks related to Canada and British Columbia and they are recent immigrants.  They all expressed what a good time they had.  I felt truly honoured to make their acquaintance.

Run, run, run
And so we are close, counting the days and the minutes.

I bet you're excited. Just think in another week you'll be on the road again!

I bet the race was so much fun. Isn't it neat making new friends. Enjoy your last few days. I am sure you are playing that old familiar song..."On The Road Again"...with a smile on your face.

You may be counting the days and minutes but you are still providing a great experience for your campers. Way to go!
