CHRISTMAS AND BEYOND

Well Christmas has come and gone.  As children the whole Christmas thing is a lot longer.  You start making your Santa list after Halloween and it last until you go back to school in January.  Don't get me wrong, I love the whole Christmas thing, but I am always glad it's over.  This year I took the tree down on Boxing Day and the outside lights today.

Anyhow... Christmas began with a Christmas Party on the 20th. This is always a fun time gift exchanges and games.  This year we had the whole group sing The Twelve Days of Christmas.  Doug made a video.  (the beginning is slow so feel free to move ahead).
I SEE THE VIDEO IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.  MAKES IT EVEN FUNNIER.

Keep in mind that the energetic people jumping to their feet are all seniors.  Some in fact are into their 90's.  What fun.

Christmas Eve we had a get together in the Clubhouse.  There wasn't much of a turnout but we three Canadian couples had a blast.  I think we confuse our American friends.  We don't drink much but find something to laugh about to convince them otherwise.

I had no picture from this years' Christmas Eve.  This is a few years ago.
Although there is a huge Christmas dinner served in the Clubhouse, we prefer to have a smaller group.  Friends Joan and Ken have a very nice "shed" on their site and we have dinner there.  This year the turkey, gravy, stuffing and Christmas pudding were my jobs.  Joan did the vegetables.

Our friend Debbie joined us for dessert.  Debbie, Joan, and Ken.
We have a New Years' party in the clubhouse to attend and then we are leaving the park.  We had planned on being here a bit longer but it's time to move on.  New places, new faces.

Sounds like you had a marvelous month of December and Christmas. Now it's time to move on to make more memories. At least no more presents to buy and gifts to wrap.

It's good to be with friends who know how to have a good time without getting drunk. I always say, "If I'm having a good time I want to remember it."
