SUMMER IS COMING TO AN END

I haven't had much time to blog but summer is coming to an end and so here's a picture summary (tee hee pun) of what's been going on in the life of the much harried Lairds.

Like most everyone in the world, prime ministers, president, and all type of celebrities, I was nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  It was scorching hot that day and I must admit it was quite refresing.

We meet many wonderful people in the campground.  They return year after year and we look forward to seeing them.  Dennis and Joanne come every year with their granddaughters Charlize and Kiera.  This year we discovered that the girls' mother Katherine lives with a friend of Graeme's with whom he played hockey with for a long time.

Charlize (believe it or not turns 12 today), Kiera, and Joanne.

Sometimes we are invited for a "snack".  Thank you Joanne and Dennis.

We drove over to Kamloops and again we encountered a storm.  But after the storm there was an incredible rainbow.  The end was just beside the road for a while, but it kept moving.

Here it comes

Now where is that gold??

Worth every raindrop
I have tried and tried to get this shot.  Finally.  Wouldn't it make a great jigsaw puzzle.

You're right, if I was buying a puzzle I'd pick that scene.

Definitely worth it. And I know you've had a hectic summer but hopefully now it will ease up a little for you. When do you head towards Minnesota or is it Michigan?

I immediately started figuring out what method I would use to work that jigsaw puzzle. :)

I think a whole bunch of us are looking forward to your visit with David this fall. I almost called him Jonathon; that's my brother's recently discovered son. Not all of us get to have new kids in our 60s but it sure is a pleasure to those who do. I hope your visit is a good one.

I think I have done a puzzle similar to that photo. Beautiful.
