GETTING CLOSE

We are close to being done here at the park and so ready to get back to our "normal" life.  Hitch itch is very prevalent.   In two days, we can say "next month".  Next month we are finished for the season.  Next month we can get moving again.

This last two weeks has been good.  No more police incidents and our campers are behaving pretty well.  This weekend is our BC day long weekend.  It is Wednesday noon and we are sold out.  Some will leave before the weekend but will be replaced by new campers.

We had a huge downpour one day last week.  We needed the rain.  We had a few washouts but nothing drastic.  These kids were at the store when the rain came.  I made them stay until it settled down a bit.

Doug and I did manage to go to Vancouver from Friday to Sunday.  We got to visit with Graeme, and Nicole and her family.  I did a bit of shopping and got a haircut and Doug got to take long naps.

We met Graeme at his favourite sushi place.

Our vegetarian dinner.  It was very good.

I made the table pretty.

Doug and his brother David went to Salmon Arm to meet other brother Bill for lunch.

David, Doug and Bill
After lunch, Doug and David went to visit their mother in the nursing home.  They had a very strange time.  Kay, their mom, spoke in rhyme for about a half hour.  Doug and David were glad they were not alone as no one would have believed it.  She just rambled on but it was all in rhyme.

 That's all for now.

What? You're almost done? The summer isn't over yet. You have a lot to look forward to as you head east to meet "David" and I'm sure you'll enjoy that.

Your definitely of almost done and mine aren't quite the same. Almost done is when there are like two days to go. But I sure do understand about hitch itch. When my Mom was in the nursing home she didn't rhyme but she wanted all of us to learn to speak Japanese. Must have been something from the War that she remembered. Hard to see our parents like that. Hang in there girl.

For me, your time there went fast...I am sure not so much for you two. All in all, it sounds like you had a good summer.

Safe travels to your next destination.

I'm like you, something to look forward to no matter if it's a day, week, month or year.

Time with family is good. Especially when you are about to leave them for several months. I can hear how anxious you are to get moving again.
