WE'RE BACK !

After three days of hard driving and an easy morning's drive from Tulalip, we are back in Canada.  We don't really feel comfortable calling it home because we don't have one here but this is where we came from and this is where 4 of our 6 children and 5 of our 8 grandchildren live.

First day from Overton, Nevada to Wells, Nevada, we stayed at The Flying J truck stop.  Quite an adventure.  An announcement would come over a loudspeaker every five minutes, 24 hours a day.  "Attention:  Professional drivers.  There is currently no wait for our showa.  So parhk your truck and come in for a nice clean showa.  Thank you for staying at Flying J."  Sounded like an indecent proposal!!

Somewhere between Overton and Wells

From Wells, we made it to La Grande, Oregon and stayed at one of the best Walmarts for RV'ers.  There were 8 of us that night, it is not a 24 hr store and the road is quiet most of the night.

Walmart LaGrande Oregon, see the flowering shrubs and the greenery.
Over the Columbia River into Washington

Snoqualmie Pass - snow on the mountains where it belongs but none on the road.
We know a way to avoid Seattle.  Just before you reach Seattle on Hwy 90, turn off on to Hwy 203 through tiny towns of Carnation, Duval and Monroe and come out at Everett before you connect to the I5.   We overnighted at Tulalip Casino.

RV parking at Tulalip Casino.  Tight but very adequate.

The border at Lynden, Washington.  No wait no problem.
Living room slide
From the rear
From the front
No room for the steps.  Step on to neighbour's yard
Only inches on the tree side.

Our border crossing was a breeze.  A  few new questions, and the usual "Are you bringing in $10,000 or more in cash?"  We wish!

We arrived at the house our son Graeme shares a couple of hours early.  Took about that much time to fit into the end of the driveway.

Check it out.

(I have no idea why this *&^%$#$%^ program wants to justify this post but I am tired and am going to leave it like this.  Sorry!)

Glad you made it home safe and sound. You certainly looked squashed in there but as long as it works ... that's what counts the most. See you in the fall, friends.

So you got in there without a scratch on your RV? AMAZING!
Good to be home? I guess.
