THIS AND THAT: More interesting stuff, well....

We all know how difficult it is to blog when you are sitting still so I am just going to share a few semi-interesting things that have happened over the last couple of days.

Friday night, once again, cars started arriving before dinner.  We knew something was up when some pickups towing flood lights arrived.

Cub Scout camp!  There seemed to be more adults than boys.  And believe it or not a goat, or maybe a lamb.  We could only hear it bleating.  We really hoped it was a mascot or some such thing, not what was needed to acquire their butchering/cooking badge!  Funny though, there was no more bleating later in the evening.

Floodlights over campout.

This morning we got up and it was already hot.  We went for a walk at 7:30 am and it was 67*.

The old guy to the right must have been a really Wild Turkey, he's lost some tail feathers.

Wow, what a shot.  Herons keeping watch.
Look closely, there are at least 25 herons in this tree.  We counted them when they flew.  The next tree had only two in it?

There must have been something interesting in that one tree to have so many herons in it. Maybe that goat slept with one of the kids. That quieted him down. Temperatures here by the California coast are wonderful!!

I love that picture of the herons in the tree. That definitely was incredible. Cooler here now so hopefully also up your way.
