A SPONTANEOUS DAY TRIP with friends

One thing that I am doing so well with is spontaneity.  I used to have to have a plan for everything.  In this new life, doing things on the spur of the moment is fun.

Yesterday morning, Jeri asked (on the spur of the moment) if we would like to go on a day trip to Yuma with them.  They have a car not a gas-guzzling truck like we have.  So off the four of us went.
Jeri did have a plan.  We were going to sneak up on Denise who had left for Fortuna Pond the day before.  She was not there.  We scouted the place out and decided that it was not really a place either of us would stay at.  Too small, too sandy, too weekend camperish!

We went to Yuma.  To have lunch and

go to the Yuma flea market.  The flea market was only about a quarter of the size it is in the high season.  We had fun and even left them some our of $$$money$$$
Hamming it up in cute hats.

You are right. Some time being a little spontaneous is much more fun than planning. It was fun and who knows how soon we'll do something like that again!

I'll be glad when and if we can ever do anything spontaneously again. Seems like all we've been doing is planning doctor and hospital visits. Glad you guys had so much fun in Yuma. Even if I am jealous. lol
