Bye to family and friends, hello to RV family and friends.
Today we have: filled the propane up; got the last expensive Canadian gas (enough to get us across the border only); gone out to lunch with Graeme; banked our Canadian cash (got US the other day); made a few phone calls; bought the bare necessity groceries; checked all the tires; checked all the fluids levels in the truck; put away a few things that won't be necessary (no use for the electric blanket); drained all the tanks and filled up the fresh water; cleaned all the windows on the truck (I wanted to wash our dirty truck, but Doug's right, that would be useless); given away a perfectly good new tire because it was the wrong "load"; and MOST OF ALL, regained our Freedom.
Freedom to do what we want to do, not what we have to do. Freedom to eat when we want and sleep when we want.
So for us, this is not New Years Eve, this is New Life's Eve. And you know what, we are way more excited about getting back on the road than we ever have been.
WHOOPIE!!!
