September 9, 2009 - A Day We'd Like to Forget
Using our GPS - we tried to find an address for an RV Park in Calgary. The GPS!!! found us an industrial park. We spend 2 1/2 hours trying to find our way out of Calgary, finally turning off the GPS and going with Doug's wonderful sense of direction.
Finally out of the city, we found our next choice in an RV park, only to find it closed the day before.
Ah, Banff National Park should have a place for us. After navigating our not too small rig around a very old park and finally getting parked, the Forest Ranger evacutated us due to grizzly bears. Yes I did see one. Beautiful, but I'm not hanging around even if Doug thought that would be fun. After trying several inadequate or dumpy places in Camrose, we settled on an expensive place. We had had it!
