CRANBROOK

The drive from Grand Forks to Cranbrook gave the motorhome an overall test.  Up and down, to an elevation of 5,300 feet and down again.  She passed.  Some hot brakes but that was all.

We have been staying at Mount Baker RV park which is in the center of Cranbrook.  The park is nice enough.  We have one of the "premier" sites.  Some of the other sites are nowhere near level.  There are all the necessary amenties but some of them are just adequate.  The laundry room is like a cave.  The owners are new and you can see they are working hard to make it a great park.

The header is our site at Mount Baker RV park.

The owners were very accommodating when it came to our car trailer.  It is parked just behind us.

Today we made a little side trip in the car to Kimberley.  Kimberley is a ski town that has a pedestrian mall with lots of little gift shops.  I love kitchen stores but managed to escape with minimal cost.  It really was too hot to wander much, so after a quick lunch we headed back to Cranbrook.

Tomorrow we will run out of British Columbia and cross the border to Alberta.  First stop Daisy Mae RV Park in Fort MacLeod.

Glad the MH is cooperating as you go up and down. Hopefully you're getting away from the smoke and fires. Be safe.
