BOONDOCKING

We sure have learned to love boondocking.  The peace and quiet and the savings.

Today I did all the laundry and hung it out to dry.

We conserve our water.  We take "army" showers but still take a shower everyday.  We fill the water bladder up when the tank runs dry.  We fill it up at a drinking water place for $1.00 for 5 gallons.

We conserve our power.  We run our generator for about an hour in the morning (just in time for Price is Right) and again in the evening to watch a little more television.

We play Scrabble.  We read and we REST.

There is peace in the simple way of life!

I like the big spaces with neighbors not so close they are looking in your windows. However, a few weeks at a time is good and then it's time for full hookups for a while. Variety is good.

We may not be coming until Friday. It all depends on the wind. The weather says gust to 35/40 and we just don't drive in that anymore. So we're going to play it by wind.
