AND WHERE ARE WE NOW (sometimes I have to ask myself)

One thing about this life, changes of plan happen regularly.

Monday morning we took the rig out and got an oil change.  That went perfectly.

A rather artsy shot behind the rig in the park

I wanted to wash the motor home.  We just went to a car wash with a RV bay.  What a mistake!  Well water!   Makes it worse than it was before the wash.  We will have to do it over ourselves.

On the way back to the park, Doug suggested that as we were all disconnected, why not just leave a day early and cut our route to Deming, New Mexico short by staying overnight in Tucson.

Casino del Sol, Tucson, one of our favourite boondocking sites

After a quiet overnight in Tucson, we were on the road to Deming.  The wind was terrible.  The stablizer we were getting installed in Deming would have been wonderful to have in that wind.  It's hard to hold the motor home on the road in the wind.

We are now at Hidden Valley RV Ranch.   The RV park is quite a ways out of Deming and indeed, well hidden in a valley.  Very nice though and with Passport America it costs only $12.81 a night and $2.00 a day for WiFi.  There is no television reception at all but the park has a huge video collection.

This picture is from the park's website.  It is freezing cold outside and I am not venturing out to take a picture at this time.  Water line is frozen solid.  Good thing our water tank is full.

We have had the Steer Safe stablizer installed and it makes a huge difference.  Installation took less than 15 minutes and cost $440.00. Money well spent.

There are a couple of things we want to do here in Deming so we will be here until Sunday.  The weather is suppose to warm up starting today.

We continue to enjoy our cat Zoe.  She is quite a character with a big personality.  Like most cats, she is quite a finicky eater.  So far I have only found one type of cat food she likes.  She definitely keeps us entertained.

While you are in Deming go to the Adobe Deli. It's a converted old school that you will probably drive by as the signs are old and faded. At this time of year it is heated by a Wood Burning Stove in the middle of the place. You might even see daylight through holes in the walls.
If you order their French Onion Soup it is a meal in itself. If you order their Ruben Sandwich it will feed the both of you.
It's an experience that you will probably repeat.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Enjoy Deming. We have only stopped for overnight stays.

Whenever we were in Arizona, and needed the motorhome washed, we always had someone come to us who had there own water tank. We learned that the water spots from the hard water is almost impossible to get off the windows.
