Catching Up

This is what you might call a "pressured" blog.  I have to keep up to date with my blogging or we will be lost.

We spent three days at Ute Lake State Park in Logan, New Mexico.

The sites are huge, there are very few sites occupied, and the price is just $14.00 a night for water and electric.  We didn't do much but relax indoors.  There are various insects and some very horrible cactus type burrs outside.  The burrs are small but super sharp.  They get on your shoes and clothes and hide in your house OUCH!

We came across a very interesting factory in Garden City, Kansas the day before.  There are hundreds of windmills in Kansas and now we know where all the parts come from.

We saw this one going down the road a few days previously.  A man had to get out of the pilot car and change the settings of the trailer wheels in order for it to go around a corner.

Last night we made it to the Walmart in Gallup, New Mexico.  We covered New Mexico from one side to the other.  We had stayed at this Walmart several years ago and had a horrible night with many "reefer" trucks running all night.  Walmart has now posted signs, not where RV's should park but where trucks are not permitted to park.  It was a relatively quiet night.  Don't eat at the McDonalds in the store though, it was horrible.

I thought you quit doing McDonald's with your diet.

We saw that Walmart last week but didn't stay. We moved right on down to Holbrook and had a peaceful night experience.

Don't like that Walmart. Too many panhandlers. Hopefully they've changed that as well as the truck parking.

We hate those burrs and so does Bella!
Now I know how those huge long trucks get around corners.
