HOW'S IT GOIN' EH?

I have to blog about something.

So, how's it goin' eh?

We have 46 days until we hit the road again.  We are going to be going to the big city after Labour Day (moteling it) and then leaving from here.  We will be visiting family in Salmon Arm, Edmonton and Calgary before heading across the Canadian prairie to visit daughter Charlette and her family in Winnipeg.

South then to stay awhile with son David and his family in the little town of Bagley, Minnesota.  We love it there.  Such a
stress-free place.

We are trying to book a weekend in Chicago by train but that plan is just that, a plan.

So the park is running well.  At full speed actually.  I find the days are just roaring past.  Another long weekend this one coming up and then the Labour Day one and that's it.

The long weekends really haven't mattered much as we are pretty much 100% full all the time.  This weekend we were fuller than full.  120 sites and over half of them had extra vehicles on them.  We had campers in our parking lot as well. So yeah, what difference does a long weekend make.

We can't say enough good about our staff.  Donna and Gord, Josh and Amber, and hosts Carol and Jack.  Hard workers all of them and no problems.  Everyone gets along tremendously and all are very co-operative and flexible.  We get lots of compliments from the campers.  They will all be back next year and we are happy about that.  So we will re-retire and leave them to it.

Gord - always hard at work

It's hot now and poor Doug is out working on his day off.  46 days sweetie!! 46 days

Glad to read everything is going well and that you are not overdoing it.
Will this be the usual retirement or will this time be for good?
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

Sounds like you have planned everything out for your departure. Another adventure is just around the corner. So, I'm wondering if you'll last at this next retirement.... you think so?

It's good to feel you are leaving the park in good hands for next year. If you keep practicing retirement, one of these days you'll get it right. :)

Nice catch. I have never been fishing. But I would love to try it.
