A Summary of our Trek Across the Country

Day 1

We left Langley early Thursday October 1st and after a quick trip to empty our tanks, we crossed the border without a problem.  We did some banking in Linden, Washington and arrived at Tulalip Casino.  We got our technology updated (yeah I get to keep my phone) at Walmart.  We got our players' card at the casino, tried the buffet (never again, it was barely edible) and got to bed early.

Day 2

Pretty easy but long drive from Tulalip to Spokane.  I had found an overnight okay Walmart ahead of time but ended up at another further from the freeway, oh well.

Day 3

Spokane to Bozeman, Montana again Walmart overnight.  A very nice and quiet Walmart but there were a couple of derelict rigs that were obviously there for much longer than overnight.  One had a very young baby.

Day 4

We had planned to drive to Dickinson, North Dakota to overnight but discovered that dear friends Sandie and Jim were at Theodore Roosevelt National Park at Medora.  Bonus!   Although we did not have much time together, we had a wonderful time.  We toured the park and saw animals in the wild.  Wow, bison, horses, deer, elk, prairie dogs and even turkeys.  We had dinner together and talked and talked.

Sandie would not let me take her picture early in the morning but I did get Jim and "the girls"

Day 5

This was going to be a long, long day.  Across North Dakota and into Minnesota.  We arrived in Bagley and again the reunion with David, Stefani and Nickolas was so sweet.  Lizzy has moved out to Moorhead but we will see her on the weekend.

So here we will be for the next two weeks.  We will have a Canadian Thanksgiving with lots of family and friends.  Let's just keep the snow away!!

This picture deserves it's own post don't you think?
Amazing markings on these wild horses and they posed for me.
