APACHE JUNCTION BACK TO QUARTZSITE

We said good bye to Jim and Sandie and left Apache Junction.  There was no sense leaving too early.  Phoenix rush hour would be a nightmare.  As you can see from this map, negotiating the highways is no picnic.  We did fine.  It takes approximately an hour to cross the city.

It doesn't take much longer than that to get from there to Quartzsite.  We have come back to Quartzsite for some more alone time.  Doug has had a cold/allergies for about a week and neither of us are sleeping well.

I would estimate that there are less than 1/4 of the rigs here as there were in January.  We are at Plomosa Road, not far from the highway.  The weather is perfect.

The perfect weather is bringing out the wildlife.  This little fellow has a hole close to the rig.  This is very enlarged.  He is only about as long as your little finger.

The weather makes for some near perfect sunsets too.

Dinner was late tonight as we watched Girl Gone.

Home made clam chowder and home made (from a box) bread.

I certainly bet there are lots less folks in Q than there was when you were there before. Enjoy your alone time.

That's why we always take I 8 to Gila Bend when going to Q. We'll go across the reservation to get to the Good Sam Rally.
