JUST DROPPING IN TO SAY...

I bet you are all worried about us.  Did we burn up in the heat?  did we die of exhaustion?

Well both of those things are nearly true but really we have just been so busy and we have had some really awful things happen in the park.

Great campfire conversation and believe me we are so anxious to get out of here and back on the road.

Our staff is wonderful and working very hard.

In one week we had two incidents that warranted police presence.  The second was horrible.  A sex offender on our beach.  He was a registered camper and was getting his "jollies" in front of young girls and children.  Police arrested him, took him away and then by law, they had to return him to the park.  AND they cannot tell us who he was or where in the park he was camped.  It didn't take us long to figure out who and where, good thing, some parents wanted a piece of him (I know which piece I would want).  He and his family (yes I said family - wife, daughter, father and mother-in-law).  The story is too sick to print here.

Anyhow, we try to start each day with a positive fresh outlook.  Soldier on.

SIX WEEKS AND A BIT TO GO.

Heat. What heat. It was a high of 72 here in Chattanooga. The fireplace is on now.

Just remember there are a lot more good people in the world than bad. I'm sure all the parents are watching their children better now after that incident.

Glad to hear you're still functioning even with the heat and exhaustion. What a creep. Hope he never comes back again.

The police have to bring him back and can't tell you who? Something very wrong with that picture. I'd think protecting the children would be more important than protecting the offender.
