VIVA LAS VEGAS

For a few weeks Doug & I debated whether or not we would actually visit Las Vegas or not.  You see we had driven through Las Vegas four times but never stopped.

We are staying as a guest at the Elks Club in Boulder City.  It's just a short drive to Las Vegas.  We parked at Mandolay Bay and walked and walked.  There is so much to see.  Amazing stuff.  Mandolay Bay is the most impressive.

Doing Las Vegas on a budget is possible.  There are incredible restaurants.  All the chefs that you see on the Food Channel have restaurants at Mandolay Bay.

But these are pretty to look at but not in our budget.  We found....

We found this sign very interesting.  $300 !!!

There is lots to see.

We escaped spending $4.00 for a bottle of water, $10.00 for lunch and getting ripped off by a vendor for a CD (which we threw in the trash) for a DONATION.  Sure I only had a $5.00 and wanted to give him a buck but he only gave me back $3.00.

Oh well.

Sounds like a real fun day. Now you can check out more of the Strip on your next trip through.

We stayed at the Elks for a month. Really nice people. Paul really enjoyed the bike trails.

LV has everything. We were there 33 years ago and got shrimp cocktail for 99 cents. When we went back two years ago, same place, same item...same price. WOW.

There is so much to see and do in Las Vegas that doesn't cost much money. I always make it a goal to find the cheapest things ever when we're there. Glad you got to see some of the place. There is just nothing else like it.

You two didn't look much like the sphinx in that photo. Glad you got to stop and see things finally.
