PLANS ARE WRITTEN IN CHALK AND CARVED IN JELLO

Some of us SKP's have been discussing another reunion in the desert.  Many of us have had enough of Quartzsite for one reason or another.

Be it the wind, the dust, the crowds or the lack of good eating places, I think it's time to move on.

In January of 2011, we had the biggest group yet.  There were about 20 rigs at one point or another.  We had a big area to park in and the environment is much friendlier than Quartzsite.

There are much better eating out places due to the proximity to Yuma.  Da Boyz Pizza is a favourite of ours.

In the nearly four years we have been on the road, the weather in Yuma has been the best.

So, it's early days yet but I hope that we get to return to Pilot Knob.

We haven't made any "in stone" plans yet, but we are talking about heading to AZ this winter. It would be cool to meet up with the old group. Old as in...many years back...nothing to do with our age! lol

Every time I look at our chalk board, I make a change to it. There are actually many places we HAVEN'T stayed in Arizona and California around rivers and lakes and other waterways. So, even though we've talked Texas, it may be a long time getting there by the time we try all the other places first. Who knows that might just be another year ?? It's definitely hard to make plans not in Jell-O. I do like Parker though and we figure we will probably be there for sure.

we've never spent much time in Parker and are hoping to do so this winter, but we'll get to Yuma or Q as well.
